Since 1997, the Center for Professional and Personal Renewal (CPPR) has been helping healthcare professionals execute transformative strategies in their careers and lives. CPPR has since earned a national reputation, both for one-on-one coaching and workshops that help professionals manage change.

TRC provides state of art treatment programs to assess and treat individuals who are addicted to alcohol and other mood altering chemicals and who also may have coexisting psychiatric disorders. TRC recruits and trains highly skilled, licensed healthcare professionals, including six full time physicians, who can deliver medical, individual and group therapies that give patients the opportunity to develop the coping skills necessary to build a long term, self-sustaining recovery based on abstinence from alcohol and other mind altering chemicals.

Rush University Medical Center is a nonprofit, academic medical center that encompasses a 613-bed hospital serving adults and children, the 61-bed Johnston R. Bowman Health Center and Rush University. Rush University is home to one of the first medical colleges in the Midwest and one of the nation’s top-ranked nursing colleges, as well as graduate programs in allied health, health systems management and biomedical research. The Medical Center also offers more than 70 highly selective residency and fellowship programs in medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties.

Hazelden, a national nonprofit organization founded in 1949, helps people reclaim their lives from the disease of addiction. Built on decades of knowledge and experience, Hazelden offers a comprehensive approach to addiction that addresses the full range of patient, family, and professional needs, including treatment and continuing care for youth and adults, research, higher learning, public education and advocacy, and publishing.

To provide effective alcohol and other drug dependency treatment services, including programs of education and research to help women, men and families begin the process of recovery.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has established a clear vision for its work -- a life in the community for everyone. To realize this vision, the Agency has sharply focused its mission on building resilience and facilitating recovery for people with or at risk for mental or substance use disorders. SAMHSA is gearing all of its resources -- programs, policies and grants -- toward that outcome.

Sexaholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover.

Ours is a fellowship of recovering couples. We are committed to restoring healthy communication and caring and, as we do this, we find greater joy and intimacy.

The Physician Litigation Stress resource center is a central clearinghouse and resource for physicians and other health care professionals who are interested in the stress associated with medical malpractice litigation and in the changing climate of malpractice litigation. This site provides lists of articles and books in the medical and popular literature as well as lists of links to other sites that may offer support to physicians.

The first is the strategic support and conduct of research across a broad range of disciplines. The second is ensuring the rapid and effective dissemination and use of the results of that research to significantly improve prevention, treatment and policy as it relates to drug abuse and addiction.
