Articles of interest in a recent issue of the CMAJ

The Physician Health program of BC has been highlighted in a recent article in the the CMAJ: Hospitals turning to team-based conflict resolution

The article discusses a workplace approach to conflict in the worksplace, in which "all staff participate in meetings and workshops
that improve communication skills and encourage employees to voice
their concerns, listen to others’ concerns and rebuild trust."

Another interesting article in the same issue, Brevity is the soul of advocacy, experts say summarizes the "advice a panel of public relations experts gave delegates to the Canadian Medical Association’s
144th annual general meeting in St. John’s, Newfoundland and  Labrador during a strategic session on how to influence politicians, the media and patients to transform the health care system."

This article brings up many of the same points that we discuss in one of our Peer-Led Group Interaction (PLGIN) Modules - Taking Care of the System: Advocacy.
